Happy New Year 2018

Hello friends,

This is the time of the year when we consciously ‘let go’ of the past year and make positive resolutions for the New Year, much of what we, (or most of us), never follow after a few weeks. I used to write down my resolutions every year and then the disappointment of not fulfilling them was so disempowering that I decided not to make so-called, ‘resolutions’ again. They did more harm than good as I stopped trusting in myself to create the outcome I wanted.

Mary DeveneauI am in Australia visiting my daughter and her family for the holidays. I watched my granddaughter yesterday at the beach as she started her own sand castle. She gazed contemplatively out to the waves before she packed each pail with sand and then would ask for help turning it upside down as she giggled at the site her new creation. When she was done with her two sand pail castles, she let them be and played with the other children.

It got me thinking about my outlook for the New Year. My last year has been a mix of illnesses, injury, and fear, with a sprinkling of joy, wonder, and laughter. Unfortunately, the illness, injury, and fear made up most of the year so I have been looking optimistically toward 2018. Here I am on the cusp of a new beginning without any so-called ‘resolutions’ for this next year. That is until I saw these photos and realized that I am the creator of my own castle and I can’t, and don’t want to, do it alone. I will start my creation for this next year with a positive attitude, get help manifesting it and let it go to the whim of the universe as I know from this last year there are still lessons to be learned from each illness, injury, fear, joy, wonder, and laughter.

Mary DeveneauChildren live in the NOW and that is my plan. I will live in the NOW. I know that when I forget, the Universe will give me a good ‘Spiritual Kick in the Butt’ to remind me, and that’s okay with me. I want to be reminded. I want to live in the NOW. I want to create and let go. To me ‘letting go’ is offering it up to the Universe to finish the job that I have started. I want to do everything I can here on the Earth Plane to create my experiences and the rest is up to the Universe, hence ‘letting it go.’ I love the visualization of putting it on a silver platter and offering it up to the universe as I have done everything I can on the Earth Plane to create it. The rest is up to the Universe.

My wish for all of us is love, joy, peace, prosperity, good health and loads of belly laughs.
