Ireland Spiritual Adventure Tour 2013
To enhance your spiritual growth, join us in 2013 for Summer Solstice in Ireland. Get grounded with Mother Earth by treading lightly on the same ground our Celtic ancestors shared many solstices’ ago. We will visit their sacred sites and connect with their spirits through ceremony and prayer.
Our accommodations will be a beautiful home or a bed and breakfast in the farmlands of County Clare. You will each have your own bed, and will share a room with one other person. Our meals will be home-cooked and all inclusive in the price with the exception of two lunches and two dinners.
Our home is less than an hour from the airport, so it’s very convenient and centrally located in the county. We will be doing daily trips around County Clare which has over 87 sites all rich with history and spirituality. Of course it will be impossible to see each site, so I will choose the sites depending on the weather and the group. I prefer to find more of the remote sites as there will be less people, and we will be able to do quite a bit of walking.
Some of the sites we are likely to visit are The Cliffs of Mohr, The Burren, Corcomroe Abbey, Coole Park, faery forests, round towers, stone circles with energy vortex’s, standing stones, dolmans, ring forts, wedge tombs, portal tombs, holy wells and beaches. Not to mention the options of an Irish Pub with live Irish music.
At the beginning of the trip, you will connect with your High Self, through a reading with me, to get direction on what you will be working on during the week. Our days will be about each of us doing our own personal work through walking meditations, visiting sites, and the teachings that Spirit brings through me. After dinner we will process our growth, and socialize as we share the sunset.
We will, of course, celebrate Summer Solstice with a sacred ceremony and have tea one day with my family, a lively group of Irish folk.
My intention for this trip is to have a lot of fun, eat well, exercise, grow spiritually, and get a good feel for Eire (Ireland), her energy vortex’s, her people, her history, and her beauty. I guide small groups of 8 people to ancient sacred sites in my homeland to synchronize with the wisdom of Ireland’s nature spirits and earth energies so that we will each have a unique experience in an un-crowded atmosphere.
The following will be included in this trip: all ground transportation (complete with our own private driver), lodging, breakfast each day, 5 days of packed lunches, 5 dinners at the house, tour guide fees, park entrance fees and me, your personal guide and psychic/medium.
Yes, we will have our own ‘chief cook and bottle washer.’ Most special diets will be catered for, provided we are notified in advance. You will be responsible for your airfare to and from Shannon, travel insurance, 2 lunches and 2 dinners at restaurants, and any personal expenses.
Please send your deposit to the address listed below and feel free to email me, or call me if you have questions or would like to see photos of past trips.
Itinerary
Day One – June 15th – Saturday
Arrive at Shannon Airport early in the morning.
Get energized with a traditional home-cooked Irish breakfast in our home.
After you unpack and relax we will take a short trip to the Cliffs of Mohr where you will be mesmerized by the unsurpassed beauty of where the Atlantic makes a screeching halt as it crashes into the high cliffs of the magical isle of Eire.
Dinner and opening ceremony at our home followed by individual private readings with Mary.
Day Two – June 16th – Sunday
This will be an all day moderate hike through the wild flowers of the Burren with our favorite Irish guide, Shane Connolly. Shane, a local sheep and cattle farmer is also an archaeology major. Shane knows the names of all the wild flowers and their medicinal purposes, and is quite entertaining with his Irish folklore. The views are beautiful; the ring forts and stone circles magnificent! Evening will bring us lots of laughter and joy as we have a traditional Irish meal with my very Irish family.
Day Three – June 17th – Monday
Bunratty Folk Park is not too far from our home, yet we will step back in time to the early 1500′s and tour the village as it was during that era. The history is fascinating, the people authentic and feeling of being in another world is very real.
In the evening expect to be the honored guest of the Earl of Thomand as we are invited to a traditional mediaeval banquet in Bunratty Castle. This four course meal is enjoyed as we hear Irish music complete with fiddle players, harpists, singers, dancers and story tellers. This is a magical evening for all.
Day Four – June 18th – Tuesday
Today will be spent as a free day. You will have the option of going to Ennis, a small Irish town nearby, so that you may visit with all the local shop owners who seem to all have the ‘gift of gab.’ Join us in the late afternoon at one of the most magnificent rock shops in Ireland. Or you may opt to spend the day walking the beautiful beaches of Lahinch and enjoy lunch at my cousin’s seafood restaurant overlooking the ocean, or stay in the countryside and go for a long walk in the magical country fields.
Day Five – June 19th – Wednesday
Today we will be touring ancient sites including dolmens, ring forts, castles, burial sites, holy wells, Corcomroe Abbey, and a magical aromatherapy perfumery and garden. We will enjoy lunch in a coastal village that is famous for it’s clam chowder and Irish music.Day Six – June 20th – ThursdayThis is a day for long walks in Coole Park. This National Natural Reserve is a remote area filled with beautiful secluded trails, a wild life preserve, fairy forests, a large lake and open fields for a group outdoor journey process to connect with the amazing creative energy of this land. This is where Lady Gregory offered her mansion and land to inspire the works of Y.B. Yeats, George Bernard Shaw, Countess of Cromartie, and William Butler Yeats, among others. Inspiration still lingers in the air as you lose yourself in another era of time.
Yeats Tower
In early 1917 William Butler Yeats bought Thoor Ballyle, a derelict Norman stone tower near Coole Park. After restoring it, the tower became his summer home and a central symbol in his later poetry. In 1917 he married Georgie Hyde-Lee. During their honeymoon Yeats’s wife demonstrated her gift for automatic writing. Their collaborative notebooks formed the basis of A Vision (1925), a book of marriage therapy spiced with occultism. We will visit the now famous Yeats Tower where your automatic writing takes on a magic of inspiration.
Day Seven – June 21st – Friday
Summer Solstice
After a relaxing breakfast, a walk in the countryside, and individual private readings, we will have a closing ceremony, (under the influence of full moon energy), at a special sacred site. Our driver, is always available to shuttle you into town or to the beach for a last minute walk or shop. In the evening we will celebrate Midsummer in the Ancient Celtic tradition of fire, dance and holy water.
Day Eight – June 22nd – Saturday
As we part ways, our hugs embrace the Celtic wisdom we have felt growing within since our first step onto the magical soil of Eire. We will take home the visions, the sounds, the healing energy, and honored culture of her people, her Nature Spirits and the beauty that Mother Earth has given to us.
